What information does Trivory collect?

Trivory collects your role, grade, and device information, including your unique device ID, and device logs. Trivory will also store your notification preferences if you change them, the posts you've liked if you like any posts, and the poll options you've voted for if you vote on any polls. If you send any feedback or support requests, everything you enter will be sent to us. If you have iCloud/Android app-data backup enabled, local app settings will be stored on iCloud/Android backup servers. Trivory may request your location when using the bus tracker. This data is sent to TriMet, and is not stored by Trivory. Check TriMet's privacy policy for more information. Trivory uses Google Analytics in order to collect information about users of the service. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information, and our use falls within the bounds of the Google Analytics Terms of Service.

What is your information used for?

Your information will only be used to make the app function. Your device ID is stored in order to identify which device information is being sent from. We store your liked posts and poll votes in order to show public (or private) results. We ask for your role and grade in order to provide you with relevant services and tools, and to deliver targeted polls and posts to the right people. Trivory may request your location in order to show you nearby bus stops when using the bus tracker. Analytics data and device logs are used to improve the service, and identify problems.

But what if I don't want you to store my information?

The minimum information Trivory must store in order to service you is device information and logs, analytics, role, and grade. In order to prevent any additional information from being stored, don't do any of the following:
Disabling iCloud/Android backup can be done in the settings of your device.

How is your information protected?

Since we do not store or transfer any sensitive information, your information may not be saved with an encryption on the Trivory servers. The connection with Trivory servers is secure (https). The way your data is stored/sent to third party servers (such as TriMet) is not in our control, and this may or may not be encrypted.

Do we disclose your information to outside parties?

Your information is not transferred to outside parties. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating this app, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our app policies, or protect the rights, property, or safety of anyone.

When does my information get deleted?

Information stored on Trivory servers will only be deleted after an extended period of inactivity, or upon request.
